There are many times when ASM receives requests from production companies to post their casting needs on our site. This page will be updated regularly with casting calls from student films, independant films, theatre productions, and othere companies in need of actors.
The productions listed here are in no way associated with ASM. We provide these postings as a service tothe production companies and our students so that experience can be gained and more people will be out there creating.

Standardized Patients are people who have been trained to accurately and consistently recreate the history, personality, physical findings, and emotional structure and response pattern of an actual patient at a particular point in time. The McGill Medical Simulation Centre will utilize Sp’s in the training and evaluation of medical students, residents, nurses, nursing students, and other professionals.

LOOKING FOR ACTORS
For a visual art video project, I am looking for actors or interested
people to participate in a video project.
I am a professional visual artist working with photography and video
(see www. bettinahoffmann.net).
For this project, I am looking for men and women of all ages and
ethnic groups.
I will film several scenarios with three to six people. The
interaction among them will be subtle, mainly using body language and
no talking.
For the shooting of one scenario/scene I am calculating three
meetings of about 2 hours each.
A financial compensation will be offered.

Dans le cadre d’un projet en art visuel, je cherche des acteurs pour
des séances vidéo.
Je suis une artiste professionnelle en arts visuels, photographie et
vidéographie, faisant appel à la mise-en-scène de personnage dans
la réalisation de mes travaux (voir www. bettinahoffmann.net).
Pour le projet en question, je vais créer des scénarios avec trois
à six personnes. L’interaction entre eux sera avant tout subtile et
sans dialogues.
Je recherche des personnes de tous âges et de tout ethnicité qui
seraient disponibles 2 ou 3 fois pour des séances de tournage de 2
heures environ.

Looking for Male and Female actors for 16mm short film.
The film is a fascinating story that takes place between 1920's-30's and is homage to the great Chinese actress Anna May Wong, as she tried to make it in Hollywood in that era.
The film is a ballad between her memories of her most recent film and the haunting parallel found in her real life, in the moments shared with the man she loves.
Charactrer breakdowns:
MAY: [A young Chinese actress]
Female, in her 20's, must be of Asian ancestry, preferably Chinese. Attractive, with a graceful complexion, not too short and with pretty hands. Being that her role is the centerpiece of the film, and that her character experiences a plethora of emotions, must be capable of dramatic theatrical performance.
ROSH: [A successful American actor]
Male, mid to late 30's. The quintessential handsome man of the 20’s, square jawed and well built, smooth talking and charismatic.
The Killer / Servant Boy: [A man with a fox-like complexion, sly and cunning]
Male, late 20's to mid 30's, tall and thin.
The BOSS: [A large man, wealthy, powerful, and as corrupt as the industry he represents]
Male, 60's.
Two Thugs: Two men, well built and capable of choreographed fighting.
