training for all actors.

Clown characters have huge hearts and tiny brains,
and it is this combination of traits that plunges them into blissful confusion.
Clown characters like classic characters in great novels, always try to run before they can walk,
which sends them careening into life's situations.
Joe De Paul is one of the most talented and original
creators on the worldwide performing arts scene today.

routines for Cirque de Soleil and has toured his own fantastic creations

Laban

In Behaviour Class we work from the inside - out to create real behaviour.  Laban technique is about working from the outside - in.  It is very physical and very fun.
Laban Class is a movement based training system created by dancer/ choreographer, Rudolph Laban.   Laban students study how certain physical influences affect character creation.  For example: Heavy body versus light body;  Quick reactions versus sustained reactions;  Direct approach versus indirect approach to any moment.  The actor will develop an awareness of their own subtle and obvious physicality in everyday life and begin to recognize and understand where and how thought, emotion, and intention live in the body.  Students will also have the opportunity to apply these techniques in scenes.  Those of you who enjoyed The Behaviour Class will love The Laban Class.
