Psychic Puppy Productions is announcing open call auditions for their original, new Fringe comedy. Adopolis or, Socrates: Party Animal, is Directed by Rob Langford and written by Clint Earle. There are six performance dates: June 16,17,20,21, 23 & 24th. Roles age in range from 22-62. Characters include Socrates, Aristophanes and several fictitious characters in a story set in Ancient Greece. Oimoi Productions Theatre Auditions for Hippolytos
Oimoi Productions is announcing open call auditions for their upcoming off-fringe production of Euripides’ Hippolytos, in an all-new English version translated and directed by Carina de Klerk and Lynn Kozak, with Johanna Nutter starring as Phaidra and all original electronic music by Virek.
Run dates will be the 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd of June at Le Gymnase (a club space at the corner of St-Denis and Rachel), and cast members should be available for rehearsal from the beginning of June, with a flexible rehearsal schedule in the couple of weeks leading up the Fringe.
We are seeking actors for the following roles, with their respective qualifications. Hippolytos (to be played by an androgynous man or woman aged 18-25), Messenger (to be played by an man or woman aged 18-30), Aphrodite (we are casting a man aged 18-fabulous with experience in drag), and Artemis (a woman aged 18-35).

Auditions will be held Monday 23rd and Tuesday the 24th of April all day (set up a time with us!), at McGill University downtown campus, exact location to be announced. This will not be an Equity production, under the Fringe exemption, but any remuneration will be according to Equity co-op rules.

Storyline
T.S. Spivet lives on a ranch in Montana with his mother who is
obsessed with the morphology of beetles, his father (a cowboy born a hundred
years too late) and his 14 year-old sister who dreams of becoming Miss America.
T.S. is a 12 year-old prodigy with a passion for cartography and scientific
inventions. One day, he receives an unexpected call from the Smithsonian museum
telling him that he is the winner of the very prestigious Baird prize for his
discovery of the perpetual motion machine and that he is invited to a reception
in his honor where he is expected to give a speech. Without telling anyone, he
sets out on a freight train across the U.S.A. to reach Washington D.C.. However,
no one there knows that he is only a child. Equipped with a telescope, four
compasses and a starling skeleton, T.S. embarks on a journey that might allow to
finally understand how the world works. There is also Layton, the younger
brother who died in an accident involving a firearm in the family’s barn, which
no one ever speaks of. T.S. was with him, measuring the scale of the gunshots
for an experiment, and he doesn’t understand what happened.
We are
looking for:
(Supporting role) Layton Male 6-8.
A Caucasian boy, Layton is 6 to 7 years old, a charming normal boy, a
mischievous kid, full of energy. Cannot be taller than 3'10"!!! About 12
shooting days (July-October) We are now looking for a younger boy.
